Champions Peru Travel is a fully licensed Peruvian travel agency based in Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire and gateway to Machu Picchu. From Cusco, we design and operate authentic, high-quality travel experiences to Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, the Inca Trail and other remarkable destinations across Peru.

As a locally owned company, we share Peru from the perspective of those who know it best. Our in-depth understanding of Andean culture, history and landscapes enables us to create journeys that foster genuine connections with Peru’s people, traditions and natural beauty.

Founded by experienced local professional, Champions Peru Travel was established to provide meaningful, responsible, and personalized travel experiences that go beyond traditional tourism. Our Founder – Ronaldo

Champions Peru Travel was founded in 2022 by Ronaldo, a proud Peruvian from a small village near the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Immersed in Andean culture, history and landscapes, he developed a deep respect for his heritage and an early interest in tourism.

After secondary school, Ronaldo moved to Cusco to study Tourism at the National University of San Antonio Abad of Cusco (UNSAAC), one of Peru’s most respected institutions.

From Porter to Travel Professional

While studying tourism, Ronaldo worked as a porter on the Inca Trail, one of the world’s most iconic trekking routes. This role gave him firsthand insight into the tourism industry, both from the traveler’s perspective and the realities faced by local staff.

During this time, he observed several challenges in the industry, including:

Difficult working conditions
Lack of proper equipment and support
Low and unfair wages
Limited opportunities for professional growth

These experiences shaped his vision and values for the future.

Motivated to enhance both tourist experiences and staff welfare, Ronaldo founded Champions Peru Travel with a clear goal:
to build a company that delivers exceptional service to travelers and ensures fair salaries, safe working conditions, and meaningful opportunities for local communities.

Today, Champions Peru Travel proudly employs local guides, porters, drivers, and staff, many from Andean communities, creating sustainable employment and a positive impact.
